The Sant Joan de Reus University Hospital has become, for the second consecutive year, a collection point for used toys for the solidarity campaign promoted by the Reus City Council's Department of Environment.

Hospital staff, patients, and companions can deposit toys at the Admissions area of the center. The campaign, under the slogan «This toy still has a lot to play», aims to give a second use to toys and foster solidarity among children. Collected toys will be delivered to organizations such as Càritas, Yo Ayudo, and Confianza Solidaria to reach children in vulnerable situations.
Toys must be in good condition, have all their pieces, and not contain warlike or sexist content. Whenever possible, it is recommended to deliver them in their original packaging. Before being distributed, they will be disinfected with non-toxic products to ensure safety.
The collection will take place from November 7 to December 3. In addition to the hospital, there are other collection points in the city, such as the municipal libraries, the Central Market and the Carrilet Market, the Environment Office, the civic centers, La Fira Shopping Center, the Cleaning Park, and REDESSA Tecnoparc.
The campaign will officially kick off on Saturday, November 7, at 6 PM with a family event at La Fira Shopping Center, which will include a magic show and a toy collection point.
