The Reus City Council has reviewed the first year of the intensive 'Barri a Barri' plan, which completed 4,500 improvement actions across 41 neighborhoods in the Baix Camp capital.

The intensive public space improvement plan 'Barri a Barri', implemented by the Reus City Council, has completed its first year of service with a total of 4,500 actions carried out. These interventions focused on 41 neighborhoods in the city, averaging 110 actions per neighborhood, meeting the coordination objectives of municipal services.
The actions are structured around three main axes: public space, green city, and cleaning, offering a comprehensive response covering everything from lighting and furniture to gardening and pruning. The plan was designed to intervene intensively for two-week periods in each neighborhood.

Of the 4,500 total actions, 1,500 were dedicated to cleaning, 1,231 to green spaces, and 883 to public space improvement.

The 'Barri a Barri' plan is part of the Reus 10 Plan of municipal actions. A key novelty for the second year is the collaboration of the company Reus Transport, which will take on cleaning and maintenance tasks for public transport shelters and the renewal of informational signage.
