The ninth edition of Hazelnut Time, taking place until mid-November in Reus and surrounding areas, strengthens the promotion of hazelnuts through gastronomy, catering, markets, and local commerce.

The program aligns with the new Hazelnut Plan 2026-2028 from the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Food, which aims to reinforce product promotion policies and sector support.
The ninth edition of Hazelnut Time features activities at the Markets of Reus, collaborations with the Gastrosàvies project by Fundació Alícia, proposals from Tapa Reus with a hazelnut tapa contest, and actions with local businesses. A special menu in Falset and the product's presence at Gastronomik Reus – Fira ÀPAT are also included.
These initiatives join fairs, routes, tastings, and educational activities, such as the DOP Avellana de Reus Awards and the fifth Hazelnut Festival of Reus.
The Director of Territorial Services for Agriculture, Glòria Tibau, announced during the presentation that the Hazelnut Technical Office will be re-tendered to ensure continuity of sector development activities, including maintaining the Tasting Panel and supporting the Association of Hazelnut Producer Organizations (AOPA).
Hazelnut Time is coordinated by the DOP Avellana de Reus and the Hazelnut Technical Office, with collaboration from the Chamber of Commerce of Reus, the City Council of Reus, Reus Promoció, Mercats de Reus, the Association of Hospitality Businesses of Reus (AEH Reus), local commerce entities, businesses, gastronomic agents, and various municipalities.
