The gale, with gusts reaching 156 km/h at the meteorological station of the Valls City Council at 07:43 AM, concentrated most incidents in Camp de Tarragona (142 alerts). The most affected towns included Mont-roig del Camp, Reus, Valls, and Cambrils.
Material damage was significant. In Valls, the mistral forced the closure of a gas station due to the poor condition of its roof and caused the fall of trees in the Plaça dels Pins, light poles, and facade elements. In Riudoms, the facade of the CAP (Primary Care Center) suffered damage. In Amposta, the Avinguda de l'Alcalde Palau had to be closed due to the risk of balconies collapsing.
Protecció Civil asks citizens to exercise special caution when traveling and engaging in outdoor activities, and to check the status of roads and the weather forecast.
Local councils implemented preventive measures. The Valls City Council closed all public parks and suspended outdoor sports activities, a decision mirrored by the Tarragona City Council, where wind gusts approached 90 km/h. The 112 emergency phone received 314 calls, with Baix Camp (52.88%) being the region with the highest number of communications.
The Servei Català de Trànsit (SCT) reported restrictions on the AP-7 for articulated vehicles between Cambrils and L'Ampolla. Protecció Civil maintains the Ventcat plan alert across thirty regions, with special focus on Ebre, Camp de Tarragona, and Penedès, advising residents to secure or remove unstable elements from facades and balconies.
