El Perelló hosts second inter-county school badminton event

The competition, organized by the Baix Ebre Sports Council, will bring together athletes from four Catalan regions.

The El Perelló sports pavilion will host a badminton day on Sunday, February 1st, as part of the Catalan School Sports Games.

This sports activity, organized by the Consell Esportiu del Baix Ebre (Sports Council of Baix Ebre) in collaboration with the Ajuntament del Perelló (El Perelló Town Council), is part of the Jocs Esportius Escolars de Catalunya (Catalan School Sports Games) and Popular Sport. The event will take place on Sunday, February 1, at 10:00 AM at the El Perelló Sports Pavilion.
Athletes from the Benjamí, Aleví, Infantil, Cadet, and Juvenil categories will participate, in both male and female modalities. The competition will use an elimination bracket format to determine the first-place winner in each age group.
In addition to the school competition, the day will also feature the participation of adults who play badminton as a leisure activity. This marks the second supra-comarcal (inter-county) day of the 2025-2026 sports calendar.
Participants hail from various counties, including Alt Penedès, Baix Penedès, Tarragonès, and Baix Ebre, highlighting the inter-territorial nature of the sporting gathering.
