40-year-old man dies in tractor accident in Tortosa

A 40-year-old man died this Tuesday morning in a tractor accident on rural land in Tortosa, according to local authorities and emergency services.

The incident occurred shortly after 10:00 AM while the victim was carrying out maintenance tasks on a family-owned farm. The tractor reportedly fell off a three-meter-high terrace, trapping the driver underneath the machinery.
Emergency teams, including the Mossos d'Esquadra, Bombers de la Generalitat, and the Medical Emergency System (SEM), rushed to the scene. Firefighters performed extraction maneuvers to free the man, but medical staff were unable to resuscitate him.
The Catalan police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the crash. Following standard procedure, the case has been reported to the duty court and the Department of Labour.
