The company Remsa has launched the Remsa Scholarship for Pediatric Research, an initiative that will allocate 12,000 euros to clinical research projects at the Hospital Universitari de Tortosa Verge de la Cinta, aiming to strengthen healthcare training in the Terres de l'Ebre.

This scholarship, promoted through Remsa's Social Project and in collaboration with the Doctor Ferran Foundation, seeks to foster research in the pediatric field. The economic endowment will be distributed over three years and will be used to fund studies led by professionals from the hospital itself.
The funds will cover various areas, including clinical studies, data analysis, methodological support, and the publication of results in specialized scientific journals. Funded projects must present their results within a maximum period of two years.

"Investing in research and teaching means investing in a more prepared, more innovative healthcare system with greater capacity to respond to the needs of the territory."

The initiative aligns with the deployment of the medicine degree from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in the Terres de l'Ebre and with the desire to boost healthcare research and teaching in the region. One of the long-term objectives is for the Pediatric Service to be able to incorporate a professional with a doctorate who contributes to training and teaching capacity from the territory itself, helping to retain talent and strengthen local pediatric research.
