The Municipal Decentralized Entity of Bítem has submitted a formal proposal to the Generalitat de Catalunya to locate the new training center for programmers at Masada Gassol.

The initiative seeks to link this new technology campus with the artificial intelligence gigafactory planned for Móra la Nova. According to the municipal body, the building meets the optimal conditions to become the hub for this training project in the region.
One of the main arguments for the bid is the public ownership of the property. As it is owned by the Government, the EMD of Bítem argues that this choice would significantly simplify administrative procedures and eliminate costs associated with land acquisition or leasing, allowing resources to be focused on building renovation and technological infrastructure.
Beyond the logistical aspect, the proposal highlights the colonial style of the construction. The goal is to follow the model of European technology hubs that prioritize spaces with unique character to foster creativity and retain young talent in the Terres de l'Ebre region.
