The council of Deltebre will present its first Code of Good Governance at this September's municipal plenary session. This initiative, although not mandatory, represents a significant advancement in the internal control policies implemented in recent years.
The code compiles and formalizes the principles and commitments that should guide municipal management and decision-making. The objective is to move towards a more transparent, efficient, responsible administration focused on citizen needs, transforming existing criteria into internal regulations.

The document details guidelines on planning, decision-making, regulatory quality, administrative simplification, efficient resource management, service quality, transparency, public information, accountability, open government, citizen participation, institutional integrity, internal coordination, information management, and public procurement.
This initiative complements the integrity policies initiated in 2019 with the approval of the first Anti-fraud Measures Plan. This plan was updated in 2022 and in July 2025, and was further strengthened by the creation of the Anti-fraud Committee and the municipal ethics channel in January 2026.
The proposal will be debated on Thursday at 9:30 PM and can be followed live through the official communication channels of the Deltebre City Council.
