Deltebre City Council has formalized its bid for the Pla de Barris i Viles de Catalunya, with a 12.5 million euro project aimed at the comprehensive improvement of the La Cava district.

The proposal, presented during the last municipal plenary session, focuses on an area of 0.55 square kilometers where 2,681 people reside. The plan is divided into 33 strategic actions that seek to promote the urban, environmental, and social transformation of the municipality between 2027 and 2031.
The first axis, with a budget of 7.02 million euros, will be dedicated to the physical renewal of the neighborhood, including street urbanization, the removal of architectural barriers, and housing rehabilitation grants. Meanwhile, the second axis, with 2.47 million, will prioritize climate resilience through a new rainwater drainage system, the creation of green areas, and a cycling route.
Finally, the third axis, with 2.25 million euros, focuses on social cohesion. This section includes the recovery of the Cambra Agrària as a community center, improvements to the Pavelló Lo Salt, employment plans for women, and the creation of a business incubator. Funding is expected to be 70% covered by the Generalitat and 30% provided by the council.
