Deltebre is once again highlighting one of its most emblematic products with a new edition of the Mussel Gastronomic Days. The event will take place from June 18 to 28 under the slogan "From the Fangar Bay to the Palate." The main objective is to promote local gastronomy and produce, thereby reinforcing the municipality's position as a leading gastronomic destination.
The mayor of Deltebre, Lluís Soler, emphasized that these days represent an opportunity to promote a high-quality local product that is intrinsic to the municipality's identity and landscape. Soler highlighted gastronomy as one of Deltebre's main assets, stating that initiatives like this help to showcase the territory, the work of producers, and the quality of products from the Delta.
During the ten days of the event, participating establishments will offer special tapas, tastings, and menus featuring mussels as the star ingredient. The culinary proposals will allow attendees to discover various ways of cooking and interpreting this product, from traditional recipes to more innovative creations.
The deputy mayor for #DeltebreProjecció, Francisco Castro, stressed the municipality's commitment to making gastronomy a key promotional element throughout the year. Castro recalled that mussels continue the gastronomic calendar in Deltebre, following the Octopus Days and preceding the Rice and Duck Days, thus consolidating a stable gastronomic offering linked to seasonal products.
The Mussel Gastronomic Days are part of the gastronomic calendar promoted by the Deltebre City Council in collaboration with FECOTUR and participating establishments. This initiative complements other events such as Mescla, the gastronomy, landscape, and tourism fair that annually makes Deltebre a gastronomic hub in the Terres de l’Ebre region. Detailed information on menus, schedules, and participating establishments can be found on the City Council's website.
