The plan, developed with the Secretariat of State for Tourism, seeks to transform activities such as rice cultivation, mussel farming, and traditional fishing into distinct tourist experiences. This initiative aims not only to diversify economic activity but also to promote tourism de-seasonality and generate new business opportunities rooted in the territory.
The actions are structured around four main pillars: professionalization of the sectors, improvement of infrastructure and production spaces, regulation and incentives, and the creation and promotion of new tourism products. Specific actions include enhancing the signage of production areas, establishing a product club integrating producers and tourism businesses, and developing thematic routes.
Deltebre was one of five municipalities nationwide selected to participate in this project, part of the Sustainable Innovation Model for Agritourism Experiences (MISEA). Ten local companies actively engaged in training workshops and mentoring to develop these new proposals.
