The Deltebre City Council started improvement works on several rural roads in the municipality this February to enhance mobility and safety for the primary and tourism sectors.

The works will be carried out on the Córrer, Florensa Est, Florensa Oest, Muntaner, and Cementiri roads. These sections were particularly affected by recent DANA storm episodes, making urgent intervention necessary to ensure the proper development of economic activity in the area.

"The investment responds to the desire to continue improving the municipality's extensive network of rural roads, ensuring they are in good condition to guarantee mobility."

The main investment for these actions amounts to 522,365.39 euros, with 65% coming from external subsidies. This figure is supplemented by an additional 75,000 euros allocated by the council for the ordinary maintenance of the rest of the municipality's rural road network.
This intervention is part of the Rural Road Improvement Plan, approved in March 2025. The project foresees a global investment of over 2,000,000 euros until 2028 to upgrade nearly 40 kilometers of roads, representing one-fifth of the municipal total.
