The opposition municipal group in Tortosa has denounced the poor operation of the blue zone parking service, noting a 34% drop in revenue during the month of March.

The political group has described the situation as unsustainable, claiming that the service has been in constant decline since January. According to the data presented, the lack of attendants on the streets and breakdowns in the payment machines have made control over regulated parking practically non-existent.
Municipal representatives stated that the drop in income is not due to fewer vehicles, but to the public perception that the system is not operational. This situation, according to the group, directly harms local commerce by preventing vehicle rotation in the city center.

"Today, whoever pays for the blue zone does so practically voluntarily."

In addition to the issues with regulated parking, the government team's management of mobility has been criticized. Focus has been placed on the accumulated delays in parking projects, such as the second Adif car park, and the lack of solutions to decongest the city's streets.
