This infrastructure is crucial for conditioning water during pre-treatment, before the potabilization process begins. The project has a budget of 5,661,736 euros and includes the construction of two new buildings. These facilities will house about ten individual lines for reagent application, equipped with new pumps, valves, and flow meters. This upgrade will enable more precise dosing of flocculant and coagulant for each of the ten treatment lines.
This initiative represents the most significant investment within the CAT's Investment Plan for 2026. The new buildings will eliminate outdoor water treatment, providing more detailed control over the flow and quality of each production line, while also optimizing reagent usage.
The works will be carried out in two non-consecutive phases between 2026 and 2028, avoiding the months of May to September, a period of peak drinking water consumption for the associated municipalities and industries. The total execution of the works will last 30 months.
