Firefighters Respond to 91 Rain-Related Incidents in Catalonia

Girona region is the most affected, while the 112 emergency line handled nearly 400 communications.

The Bombers (Firefighters) of the Generalitat have managed 91 incidents related to the rain episode in Catalonia from midnight until seven in the evening today.

The Girona Emergency Region registered the highest number of calls, with a total of 34. It is followed by the Metropolitan South Region, with 24 interventions, and the North Region, with 22.
Other regions experienced fewer incidents: the Central Region counted 6 calls, the Terres de l'Ebre Region 3, and the Tarragona Region 2. The Lleida Region reported no rain-related incidents.
Concurrently, the emergency phone line 112 handled 398 communications that resulted in 328 incidents due to intense rainfall up to the same time.
The calls were mainly concentrated in the counties of Barcelonès (36% of the total), Vallès Occidental (15%), and Baix Llobregat (11%). The city of Barcelona generated the most calls, with a total of 90.
