The El Perelló Town Council and local beekeepers presented the Honey of Beekeepers of Catalonia brand this March to highlight products made entirely within the Catalan territory.

This new identity aims to increase transparency for consumers and defend local production against the pressure of imported honey. The initiative focuses on the value of regional agriculture and the sustainability of the beekeeping sector.
Local representatives met with the Minister of Agriculture, Òscar Ordeig, to discuss current industry challenges. Additionally, plans are underway for the first Catalan Honey Night, an event organized with the Tarragona Beekeeping Cooperative to promote the local craft.
