The alert for the fire on Sant Francesc de Dalt street was received around 8:10 PM. According to initial reports, the flames started on the ground floor of the building and spread up the facade, affecting several floors of the same structure. Firefighters worked intensely on extinguishing the blaze.
Adjacent buildings were not damaged by the flames. It was also not necessary to evacuate neighboring homes, as they are currently unoccupied.
The Emergency Medical System (SEM) was dispatched to the scene to attend to the resident of the affected dwelling, who reportedly inhaled smoke during the incident.
