The municipal group Junts per Tortosa has expressed concern over the lack of transparency from the Tortosa government team regarding the continued functions of the former director of the Festa del Renaixement and Festes de la Cinta.

Councillor Òscar Ologaray pointed out that, despite the termination of the festival direction contract, various entities, associations, and companies linked to the Festa del Renaixement have reported that the former official continues to coordinate aspects of this year's edition, including the management of participations and contracts.

"We do not know if there is any minor contract, any verbal assignment, or any other type of link or planned compensation."

Given this situation, Junts per Tortosa has submitted a formal request to access all contracts signed during 2026 with this person or with the company through which they operated. The municipal group has highlighted that the direction of neither festival has been put out to tender again.
The party is demanding public explanations from the mayor, Mar Lleixà, and the councillor for the Festa del Renaixement, Jordi Jordan, regarding the contractual coverage of these activities. They recalled that they had already questioned the outsourcing of festival management in February 2024, calling it an unjustified privatization with an amount of 53,000 euros annually for two years.
Junts per Tortosa considers it contradictory that a government that had announced a review of outsourcing to municipalize services ended up privatizing the direction of the festivals. According to Ologaray, the balance two years later is "clearly negative" and he has urged the tripartite government to rectify and clarify who is currently directing the Festa del Renaixement and under what contractual basis.
