The council of l'Aldea points to the Catalan Water Agency (ACA)'s "lack of sensitivity" as the main cause of impediments in carrying out maintenance tasks for the Pixadors ravine. According to the City Council, the management and delays in resolving aid have significantly limited the work that was usually done in July.
This year, these tasks had to be postponed until September, and work could only be carried out on a small portion of the usually cleaned sections. This action was concentrated in the developable land areas that the ACA specifically required the council to clear.
The l'Aldea City Council demands "urgent" action on the pending sections, which are the ACA's responsibility to maintain in good condition. The council considers this situation "not minor," as the uncleared sections could compromise the ravine's stormwater evacuation capacity, increasing the risk of flooding.
