The L'Aldea City Council has launched an extension of hours at the local Day Care Center this March, which will now remain open on Saturdays and Sundays.

This improvement in elderly care is the result of joint work between the Department of People's Care and the Generalitat's Department of Social Rights and Inclusion. After a decade of operation, the center is adapting to the growing needs of families requiring support during non-working days.
The service expansion was made possible by increasing public spots from 11 to 16. In total, the facility in the Baix Ebre region now offers 40 spots for its users.

"We had been working for more than half a year to achieve this expansion."

Berta Royo · Councilor for People's Care
The new weekend service began on March 7 and 8. While five families are already using the service, municipal forecasts suggest that the number of users will increase in the coming months.
