The most visible works focus on upgrading the entrance to the football field complex, including the construction of a ticket booth, the installation of a new electronic video scoreboard on the football 11 field, and the creation of a museum area dedicated to the history of local football.
“"The governing team, in coordination with the Sports management, detected the shortcomings in the facilities to distribute the subsidy across various projects."
These initial improvements were made possible thanks to a 34,000 euro subsidy granted by the High Council for Sports (Consell Superior d’Esports) through the Football Federation. Additionally, the Sports area recently received 160,000 euros from the Generalitat de Catalunya, complemented by 55,000 euros in municipal funds.
The largest portion of the investment, exceeding 300,000 euros, will be allocated to improving energy efficiency, financed by nuclear transition funds. This includes the total renovation of lighting, changing the towers of the football 11 field, expanding photovoltaic zones, and upgrading the climate control system.
This modernization coincides with a period of significant social growth in sports activity in the municipality, as the CEM has reached historical user figures, increasing from 700 initial subscribers to nearly a thousand registered people monthly.
