L'Ametlla de Mar leads housing construction in Terres de l'Ebre in 2025

The town registered the highest number of housing starts and completions, surpassing Tortosa and Amposta according to data from APCE and CaixaBank.

L'Ametlla de Mar was the municipality in Terres de l'Ebre with the most housing starts and completions during 2025, with 98 starts and 16 completions, according to data from APCE and CaixaBank.

In 2025, L'Ametlla de Mar stood out as the municipality in Terres de l'Ebre with the highest activity in housing construction. A total of 98 new constructions were started and 16 were completed. This figure places it ahead of other towns such as Tortosa, which recorded seven housing starts and three completions; Gandesa, with three starts and none completed; and Amposta, with two starts and one completion.
Analyzing by region, Baix Ebre led the initiatives with 184 homes started and 52 completed. Terra Alta registered 18 starts and 4 completions, while in Ribera d'Ebre, 3 were started and 3 completed. Montsià recorded 18 housing starts and 26 completions.
Regarding sales, Móra d'Ebre, despite not registering any new housing starts or completions, led new home transactions with 44 sales. Amposta recorded the highest number of used home sales, with 457.
At the regional level, Montsià led used home sales with 1,530 transactions, followed by Baix Ebre with 1,298. In new home sales, Baix Ebre topped the list with 175 transactions, ahead of Montsià (92), Ribera d'Ebre (86), and Terra Alta (17).
