The decision, supported by votes from ERC, PSC, and Entesa, and opposed by Junts and an unattached councilor, establishes three council positions with exclusive dedication and one with partial dedication. This new scheme contrasts with the opposition's view, which advocates for greater commitment to municipal tasks.
The new model stipulates that three councilors will have exclusive dedication with an annual salary of 36,643.01 euros each, while a fourth councilor will have 50% partial dedication with 18,321.51 euros. The mayor and deputy mayors will not receive a fixed salary but rather indemnities for attending plenary sessions and government meetings, with a maximum of 350 euros and 325 euros respectively.

According to the governing team, this measure represents significant savings, reducing the global cost from 400,000 euros in 2025 under the previous administration to 229,000 euros with the new proposal. The opposition, for its part, has criticized the model, arguing that cost reduction could be detrimental to dedication and presence in the municipality.

The debate also included the hiring of external legal advisors. While the spokesperson for Entesa defended the necessity of this professional advice due to the potential savings in municipal conflicts, the unattached councilor questioned the cost of these services, recalling previous criticisms.
During the plenary session, the appointments of the deputy mayors, members of the Governing Board and the La Cala Municipal Services Board, as well as the General Assembly of EPE La Cala Gestió, were also formalized. Furthermore, the change in status of a former councilor, who moved to the unattached group, and the swearing-in of a new councilor for Junts were reported.
