The festival, one of the most deeply rooted in the local calendar, serves to recognize the town's maritime identity and the legacy of generations linked to the sea. Over four days, the port and the seafront will become the main stage for various cultural, musical, and festive events.
On Thursday, July 16, the patron saint's day, a solemn mass will be held followed by the traditional maritime procession. During this event, the image of the Virgin of Carmen will travel through the port waters accompanied by local boats. The day will conclude with a fireworks display over the seafront.
The schedule of activities includes options for all ages, such as concerts, parties, DJ sessions, sea shanties (havaneres), and a popular sardine feast. Other events include children's activities, an inflatable obstacle course, the Holi Festival, and bullfighting events. As a prelude, the port will host a cultural performance on July 12.
