The approved text notes a situation of structural inequality in the region's mobility, describing current infrastructure as obsolete and services as insufficient. The chamber urges the Government to implement concrete measures, such as the recovery of the full R15 service, the increase of Avant connections, and the return of Euromed stops at the Aldea station.
Among the set deadlines, the motion calls for the restoration of passenger service on the section between Riba-roja d'Ebre and Reus within two months. It also demands that by the first quarter of 2027, there should be at least one daily fast train in each direction between Terres de l'Ebre and Barcelona, with no stops after Tarragona.
“"The Terres de l'Ebre region cannot afford to miss this train again; we need a model that makes the railway useful for reaching Barcelona in under two hours."
The proposal also includes the creation of a shuttle service between Ulldecona and Aldea-Amposta-Tortosa, as well as the integration of Rodalies into the ATM Camp de Tarragona fare system. Despite the majority support, some parliamentary groups noted that certain improvements depend on state jurisdiction, leading to specific abstentions on certain points of the motion.
