The town of Paüls will once again become the focal point for school athletics with the celebration of the IV Paüls Cross Country Race, an event jointly organized by the Town Council and the Consell Esportiu del Baix Ebre. This race is included in the official calendar of the Baix Ebre School Sports Games.
The races will start at eleven in the morning and will feature a total of 14 events corresponding to 16 different categories. The distances have been adapted to the characteristics of the municipality and are slightly reduced compared to previous editions.
The competition will begin with the youth and cadets, followed by the infants, juniors, pre-juniors, pre-pre-juniors, and finally the youngest participants. The start and finish line for all races will be at the Casal Municipal, following a circuit that runs towards Escoles street and a dirt area specifically prepared for cross country practice.
All participants will receive a commemorative medal, and trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in each category, as well as special prizes for the best team and the best local athlete. Classified athletes will face their next challenge at the Territorial Cross Country Final of the Terres de l’Ebre, scheduled for March 8 in Móra d’Ebre.
