A Tortosa court has ordered provisional prison for a 50-year-old man caught twice in less than a week driving under the influence of alcohol in El Perelló.

The Mossos d'Esquadra first detained the suspect on February 11 following a traffic accident. He tested 1.67 mg/l for alcohol, nearly seven times the legal limit, and officers discovered he had never obtained a driving license.
Despite pending legal action, he was caught again on February 13 on the same road, testing 1.03 mg/l. Due to the repeated danger to public safety, the magistrate ordered him to be held without bail.
