The competition, organized by the sports councils of Baix Ebre and Montsià, had the technical support of the Club de Rem Tortosa. The event, which took place under excellent weather conditions and optimal water levels on the Ebro river, included categories for U12 (Aleví), U14 (Infantil), U16 (Cadet), and U18 (Juvenil).
Participants came from the Club Rem Delta in Sant Jaume d’Enveja, the Club Nàutic La Ràpita, and the Club de Rem Tortosa. Various races were held throughout the morning in modalities such as skiff, double scull, quad scull, and coxless pair, across male, female, and mixed categories.
The competition is born with the aim of promoting rowing practice among school-age children and projecting the Terres de l’Ebre as a reference point for this sport.
The awards ceremony was chaired by the Mayor of Tortosa, Mar Lleixà, in her first official act after her proclamation, accompanied by Montse Pegueroles, territorial representative for Sport of the Generalitat in the Terres de l’Ebre. The next league day will be held on February 15 in Sant Jaume d’Enveja.
