The Catalan Fire Department responded to approximately 450 emergency calls this Saturday as a powerful windstorm battered the Baix Ebre and Montsià regions.

Wind speeds peaked at nearly 150 km/h, causing significant damage in Tortosa and Roquetes. Incidents included fallen walls, uprooted trees, and damaged roofs at local sports centers and medical clinics.

"The wind is causing many issues and we recommend everyone to stay home and restrict mobility."
