The Mossos d'Esquadra police force arrested three men aged 21 to 49 following a theft at a supermarket parking lot in Tortosa on February 17.

The crime occurred while the victim was loading groceries. One suspect approached to ask for directions to Barcelona, creating a distraction that allowed an accomplice to snatch a handbag containing cash and personal items from the vehicle.
Witnesses provided a photo of the getaway car, enabling officers from l'Ametlla de Mar to track the vehicle. The suspects were intercepted on the AP-7 highway heading north, where police found a significant amount of unexplained cash.
The three individuals, who have prior records for property crimes, were brought before the Tortosa Duty Court last Wednesday.
