Tortosa begins solar panel installation at Remolins and El Temple sports centers

The City Council invests nearly 230,000 euros to promote energy self-consumption and reduce municipal electricity costs.

The Tortosa City Council has started the installation of photovoltaic solar panels on the roofs of the Remolins trade fair pavilion and El Temple sports hall this March.

The total investment for the project is 229,338.21 euros, supported by a 196,114.83 euro grant from the Diputació de Tarragona. The initiative aims to reduce carbon emissions and lower the municipal electricity bill.

Two specialized companies, Manteniment i Operació d'Infraestructures SL and Wingreen EPC SL, are carrying out the works, which are expected to be completed within a month. This project is part of a broader local energy transition strategy.
