The Teodor González park in Tortosa will be the venue this Saturday, June 6th, for the first edition of the 'Som Tortosa, Som Món' intercultural fair, a festive day for cultural exchange.

The initiative, organized by AvanTEbre in collaboration with the Tortosa City Council and the Department of Equality and Feminism of the Generalitat, aims to highlight the city's cultural diversity and strengthen coexistence under the motto ‘Diversity enriches us, coexistence unites us’.
From 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, the fair will offer an extensive program including cultural activities, exhibitions, music, traditional dances, workshops, children's games, and international gastronomy. This year, Morocco is the guest country, showcasing its culture, traditions, and crafts.
Attendees can visit the country pavilions, learn about their traditions, and participate in various activities. The day will begin with the official inauguration at 10:00 AM, followed by a welcome reception and exhibitions such as the Fandango Tortosí.
The program will feature artistic presentations, dance, and music performances throughout the day. Highlights include the presentation of the work ‘La meva Terra’ by Joan Vilaubí, accompanied by Paco Prieto, and performances by students from the Tortosa Community Process.
In the afternoon, groups like Tacones y Volantes, the Modo Swing dance school of Eduard Casasampere, and the Rondalla de Lo Planter with Tortosa dances will perform. The fair will conclude with musical performances by Nostalgiàustic (United Kingdom) and Nan d’Aldovesta (Purely Dutch project).
The gastronomic showcase will feature establishments such as Pasarela Latina, Hokkaido, and Black & White Bikineria, offering typical Latin food, Chinese and Japanese cuisine, and Cuban food, respectively.
