A fire broke out on Monday evening at the Adiquímica company, located in the La Valldan industrial park in Berga, causing a significant column of black smoke.

The fire started for unknown reasons inside the warehouse, primarily affecting the rear section of the premises. The column of black smoke generated by the flames was visible from several nearby towns such as Berga and Avià.
This is not the first time that the company Adiquímica has experienced a fire. In 2014, a similar incident affected the facility, burning cardboard boxes with chemical products and requiring the deployment of eight fire crews.
Adiquímica specializes in the treatment of industrial and sanitary water, leading the Spanish market and having a presence in Portugal. Its facilities are located on Sant Bartomeu road, in the upper part of the La Valldan industrial park.
