The affected parties have notified the Agents Rurals, who have opened an investigation to determine the cause of the damage. According to the farmers, the nature of the wounds and the disappearance of other animals suggest the presence of a bear in the area.
This incident follows another recent report, made less than a week ago near Isil, where another farmer reported the death of three sheep. Given the situation, the sector is demanding that monitoring teams provide information when the animal is detected near herds to allow for better preventive measures.
Meanwhile, the Territori department has questioned the origin of the attacks. According to the institution, the calf's wounds do not show signs of having been caused by a bear, and the case of the mare and foal is being analyzed to confirm if the cause is the same.
