Tortosa Ebre has confirmed its relegation to Primera Catalana with two matchdays remaining in the league, after three seasons in the top regional category.

The victory of Santboià against Cubelles by 3-0 precipitated the fall of the Tortosa team, making their match against Viladecans unnecessary, where they suffered a resounding 5-0 defeat. This result secured promotion for the Baix Llobregat side.
A series of fifteen consecutive matches without a victory has been decisive for the team's relegation. They were unable to turn their fortunes around and finished in the last position of the group. The last two victories at the Estadi Municipal Josep Otero, against Sant Cugat (3-2) and Tàrrega (7-1), only served to prolong an agony that already seemed inevitable.

"Now is the time for deep reflection, and to look ahead to next season where they will have the obligation to be one of the candidates for a return to the lost category."

A new chapter begins for the club in the capital of Baix Ebre, with numerous changes expected both in the sporting sphere and in the team's management and board of directors. The objective is to restart the project with ambition, seeking to re-engage a fanbase that has watched their team progressively decline.
The task now is to redesign the squad and consolidate the foundations to build a team capable of repeating the success achieved three seasons ago, when CD Tortosa and CF Ebre Escola Esportiva were promoted to Primera Catalana before their merger to form CF Tortosa Ebre.
