The Trencacims Paüls-Terres de l'Ebre, scheduled for May 2 and 3, 2026, will become the epicenter of mountain running by hosting the Spanish and Catalan club SkyRace championships, with over a thousand registered participants.

This historic edition of the Trencacims Paüls, taking place in the municipality of Paüls, in Baix Ebre, will gather 1,050 participants. The event is distinguished by its demanding nature and the stunning beauty of its route through the Ports Natural Park. The start of Saturday's Trail, at six in the morning, will feature entertainment by the Golafre, accompanied by music and pyrotechnics to welcome hundreds of runners and mountain enthusiasts.
The 36-kilometer SkyRace with 2,600 meters of positive elevation gain will be the main highlight, as it has been designated as the Spanish FEDME club championship, Catalan FEEC club championship, and Skyrunner National Series Cup. This triple distinction is an unprecedented milestone in the mountain running calendar. Furthermore, for the first time, the race will be broadcast live on TV3 and the online platform 3Cat, projecting the competition beyond Catalonia's borders.
Over 300 runners from Spain's top clubs will compete for the SkyRace title. The host club, CE Trencacims, will be represented by several athletes. Teams such as Team Gozalbo, the Basque Soronea, Alpino Benalmádena, Maestrazgo, and Aiaramendi will also be present, featuring a long list of notable participants.
Saturday will also feature the Ultramarathon of les Terres de l'Ebre, with a route of 54 kilometers and 4,000 meters of positive elevation gain. This modality is known for being one of the toughest in the Peninsula, combining a technical course with unique landscapes of the Ports Natural Park. As a novelty, participation is open to mixed teams of four members, with at least one woman, and already has over 200 registered. On Sunday, May 3, the event will conclude with the Half Marathon of 24 kilometers and 1,800 meters of positive elevation gain, with over 200 participants, and a non-competitive 13-kilometer walk.
