The L'Aldea City Council has started repair works on six municipal roads that suffered severe damage due to the floods recorded between October 28 and November 10, 2024.

The project has a total cost of 102,605.58 euros, of which the majority, 99,228.90 euros, are subsidized by the Diputació de Tarragona (Provincial Council), minimizing the economic impact on the municipal coffers. The company awarded the contract to restore the affected roads is Patran Costa Dorada SL.
The intense rains in the autumn of 2024 caused significant damage to several rural roads, necessitating urgent action to guarantee the safety and mobility of residents, as well as access to agricultural farms and scattered areas. The routes currently undergoing improvements include Camí de López, Camí de Vinaixarop, Camí de la Capblanca, Camí de Badia, Camí de les Granges d’Albesa, and Camí de Fortets.

"we are doing everything possible to fix the most affected roads, bearing in mind that these months we have experienced several floods with significant amounts of rain in our municipality"

Pepe Caballé · Councillor for Works
The Councillor for Works, Pepe Caballé, also added that the council is actively working to secure two additional subsidies for road repairs, aiming to further guarantee the safety of the municipality's residents.
