The ambitious project, with a global investment surpassing 550,000 euros, is financed through a combination of own funds and various external funding lines, aiming for the comprehensive modernization of the sports spaces in L'Ametlla de Mar.
One of the most visible actions is the improvement of access to the sports area and the football field, with works already underway. This intervention includes the construction of a ticket sales booth, the installation of a new electronic video scoreboard at the football 11 field, and the creation of a museum space dedicated to the history of local football within the social bar area.
“"These resources have been allocated to three projects to resolve detected shortcomings and improve the image and functionality of the facilities, with the forecast of inaugurating the new actions coinciding with the Candelera festivity."
These improvements are supported by significant external contributions, such as a 34,000 euro grant from the High Council for Sports and a recent contribution of 160,000 euros from the Generalitat de Catalunya, earmarked for the regulatory adaptation of the Municipal Sports Center and the Municipal Sports Hall.
In parallel, the council has planned an additional investment of over 300,000 euros, financed by nuclear transition funds, for energy efficiency. This allocation will cover the comprehensive renovation of lighting, the replacement of the football 11 field towers, and the expansion of photovoltaic areas.
