This positive result marks the second consecutive year with a surplus for the public business entity (EPE) after a long period of deficits. The previous year, 2024, had already closed with a significant surplus of 1.3 million euros.
These profits are crucial as they will allow La Cala Gestió to begin repaying the loans it had contracted with the City Council. The l'Ametlla de Mar council had previously transferred 4 million euros to the company to cover deficits accumulated in previous terms.

According to a municipal statement, one of the key factors that allowed the results to be reversed was the ability to collect old unpaid debts from developers that had not been settled previously due to various reasons.
