The Bombers de la Generalitat (Catalan Firefighters) rescued a truck driver trapped in his cabin after his vehicle overturned on the AP-7 motorway, near l'Ampolla, early on Wednesday, January 21.

The incident occurred at 03:04 AM at kilometer point 306 of the AP-7 heading towards Barcelona. The Firefighters mobilized one ground unit to respond to the emergency.
Extrication efforts were necessary as the driver was trapped inside the cabin. The truck driver was removed at 04:08 AM and received initial assistance from the Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM).
Subsequently, the injured driver was evacuated to the Hospital Verge de la Cinta in Tortosa. Due to the rollover, the heavy vehicle suffered a small, controlled fuel leak.
Throughout the morning, the accident forced the closure of one lane of the AP-7 towards Barcelona to remove the cargo, causing minor traffic delays. A lane in the direction of Ulldecona was also closed for safety precautions.
