The Junts per Tortosa municipal group denounced this Wednesday the loss of over 485,000 euros in Generalitat subsidies intended for the Ferreries and Temple nurseries due to management delays.

The partial revocation, totaling exactly 485,748.29 euros, affects subsidies granted for the creation and operation of the Ferreries and Temple municipal nurseries. According to resolutions from the Department of Education, 234,571.26 euros were revoked for Ferreries and 251,177.03 euros for Temple.

"completely dismantle the municipal government's narrative"

The main cause for the revocation is that the nurseries did not become operational within the timeframe required by the Next Generation funds call, preventing the justification of corresponding expenses. Additionally, a partial cancellation of infrastructure-related amounts has occurred.
The municipal group maintains that the Tortosa City Council will have to pay late interest for funds that must now be returned. Òscar Ologaray criticized the current government's management and demanded a public apology from former mayor Jordi Jordan.
