The session, organized by the two town councils, aimed primarily to open a working space with the business community to evaluate ongoing projects and gather improvement proposals. One of the most prominent ideas was the construction of a footbridge connecting the Vins i Licors Grau industrial estate in Palafrugell with the La Riera d’Esclanyà industrial estate in Begur.
This connection is seen as a key measure to enhance mobility on foot and by bicycle between the two municipalities in the Baix Empordà region, helping to complete the existing network of cycling routes in the area.
During the meeting, the economic promotion departments of both councils presented the initiatives currently being driven, reinforcing their commitment to working closely with the business sector. Collaboration with the employers' association for micro and small enterprises in Catalonia was also highlighted for coordinating future projects.
The gathering concluded with an open discussion where participants could express their concerns and identify shared challenges. All contributions will be taken into account when designing the definitive action plan for 2026, as confirmed by the town councils, which highly valued the participation.
