The Begur Municipal Works and Services brigade continues its tasks of maintaining and conserving public spaces, facilities, and green areas, combining them with logistical support for events and incident response.

The Municipal Works and Services brigade of the Begur Town Hall works continuously on the maintenance and conservation of public spaces, municipal facilities, green areas, and the different neighborhoods of the municipality, including Begur and Esclanyà. These tasks are combined with logistical support for events and actions resulting from incidents, such as those caused by rain episodes.
The Councilor for Works and Services, Jordi Carreras, highlights the importance of the brigade's work, which combines planned actions with on-site interventions to respond to needs and maintain streets, green areas, and facilities in good condition. He also emphasizes the team's involvement during periods of high activity, complementing usual tasks with support for events and setups.
During the last period, the brigade provided logistical support for various summer activities and celebrations, such as the concerts of the Begur Music Festival, the Esclanyà Major Festival, the Sa Tuna Major Festival, the Catalan National Day, and the Santa Reparada Major Festival. Preparations and dismantling for the XXI Fira d’Indians in the historic center and at the Arbreda Park were also managed. Additionally, cleaning and repair work was carried out following the floods on Tuesday, September 29th.
Public space maintenance includes repairing damage in the historic center of Begur and the Esclanyà neighborhood, beach areas, coastal paths, and the Esclanyà industrial estate. Irrigation and maintenance tasks for green areas, ornamental plants, planters, and pedestrian paths have been carried out, as well as cleaning of verges and tree pits. Brush clearing work controls vegetation growth, and regular cleaning of drains in Begur and Esclanyà is crucial for preventing incidents during rainfall.
The brigade has also worked on municipal facilities such as the football field, the Municipal Pavilion, the Cinema Casino, the municipal cemeteries, the Casal de la Gent Gran, the Escoles Velles building, the Cultural Center, the Espai Mas d’en Pinc, the Pumptrack, the Arbreda Park, the Esclanyà Polivalent Local, the Municipal Recycling Center, and playgrounds. Cleaning and maintenance work has been done in the green areas and courtyards of educational centers: Escola Doctor Arruga, Escola Olivar Vell, and Llar d’Infants Ses Falugues. Traffic signs, road markings, bollards, benches, railings, and bins are also installed and repaired.
The Begur Town Hall reminds citizens of the importance of collaboration in detecting incidents. Residents can report damage through the Begur al Dia app, an official application via the Electronic Office or Registry, the Citizen Attention Office (OAC), or the contact form and email address begur@begur.cat.
