The company Rosa dels Vents has expressed its condemnation of the alleged touching of a girl by two intruders at one of its facilities in Palamós. According to a statement, the alleged aggressors, who appear to be minors, entered the premises and went into one of the dormitories, where they touched one of the six girls sleeping there.
The incident occurred on Saturday, June 27, at the La Fosca camp, located in an industrial area of the town in the Empordà region. The company has filed a report with the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan Police), who are still searching for the individuals. Rosa dels Vents has defended its prompt action and transparency with families, although some relatives have questioned the effectiveness of the measures taken.
The company detailed that the counselors attended to the victim and contacted the police. Additionally, the children were confined to their rooms, and it was confirmed that the intruders had left the premises. The company assures that all children and parents were informed "transparently" about the incident.
Rosa dels Vents has expressed its deep distress over this unprecedented event in its history, calling it "serious and intolerable." Consequently, the company is reviewing its security protocols to address "external and unrelated factors."
To enhance security, the company has announced it will upgrade its video surveillance system and implement private security to ensure children's safety and peace of mind during leisure activities.
