An 80-year-old woman is in critical condition in the ICU of Girona's Josep Trueta Hospital after being rescued on Saturday morning from the Platja Gran in Palamós.

An 80-year-old woman was transferred in critical condition on Saturday morning to Girona's Josep Trueta Hospital after being rescued from the water at Palamós' Platja Gran.
According to information provided by the Catalan Emergency Medical System (SEM), the alert was received at 11:38 AM, after the woman was found floating in the water.
Three SEM units were dispatched to the scene: a medicalized helicopter and two ground units. The woman was evacuated by helicopter to Trueta, where, according to hospital sources, she is admitted to the ICU with a reserved prognosis.
