Font del Ferro, a municipal company dedicated to the training and employment of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, has renewed and expanded its gardening teams to cope with the anticipated increase in activity this autumn. The company will undertake the planting of 261 trees in 64 areas of the city, as part of the municipal strategy to conserve, renew, and expand urban green spaces.
In addition to tree planting, Font del Ferro's brigades will continue maintaining the perimeter areas of urbanizations, planters, and other municipal spaces within the urban center. This September, three new gardening assistants with disabilities have been hired. Two of them will cover recent departures of employees who have moved to the mainstream company Parcs i Jardins de Catalunya, a key objective for the Special Employment Center. The third hire strengthens the workforce to manage the season's workload.
Concurrently, Font del Ferro has incorporated three monitors and a new director into its Special Employment Center for gardening and urban green spaces. This reinforcement will enhance both individual support and team organization amidst a growing volume of work.

The municipal company currently operates a productive service (nursery and gardening brigades) and two care services: the Occupational Insertion Service and the Occupational Therapy Service.
