The Servei Català de Trànsit expects intense mobility on the roads of Baix Empordà and the Costa Brava for the second Easter holiday, with nearly 600,000 vehicles leaving the metropolitan area.

The main roads in the region, especially the C-31 through Santa Cristina d'Aro and Platja d'Aro, as well as the C-65 in Llagostera, will be the points with the most congestion. To mitigate the impact, more than 150 kilometers of special traffic measures will be implemented.
The operation, which will last until Monday night, includes access restrictions for non-resident vehicles in specific points of Castell d'Aro and Santa Cristina d'Aro. In addition, truck traffic will be restricted on the AP-7 motorway to facilitate traffic flow during peak hours.
The Mossos d'Esquadra will deploy an operation with more than 1,200 officers who will carry out preventive speed, alcohol, and drug checks. Authorities recommend that drivers plan their trips in advance and exercise extreme caution on the road.
