The candidacy of Marquès will be the third consecutive one he leads in La Bisbal d'Empordà. He served as mayor between 2019 and 2023, and currently holds a seat in the municipal opposition.
Since last July, Enric Marquès also presides over the Consell Comarcal del Baix Empordà (Baix Empordà Regional Council), an institutional position that significantly strengthens his political profile ahead of the new electoral contest.

The Esquerra Republicana project is presented as a clear commitment to recovering a left-wing government, dedicated to the social, economic, and cultural progress of the municipality.
