Festival Ítaca begins its Ítaca Pobles tour with five intimate concerts in Empordà towns, reviving the cultural project's itinerant spirit and blending established artists with new talent.

While the main stages of the Ítaca Festival will once again draw thousands to the Platja Gran in L'Estartit for the Sant Joan festivities, the festival also reaffirms its commitment to local concerts with a new edition of Ítaca Pobles. This musical initiative, which originated the cultural project, will visit five towns in the Empordà region this year, featuring performances in heritage sites and small squares, aiming to foster a direct connection between artists, audiences, and the territory.
The lineup features a mix of established Catalan artists and emerging projects, echoing the festival's itinerant spirit. The first stop is on May 23rd in Pals, where the courtyard of Ca la Pruna will host Joan Miquel Oliver, founder of the band Antònia Font, presenting his new work, Roïssos.
On May 29th, the festival moves to Plaça Garbina in Ullastret with Mazoni, who will present his album Banderes per daltònics. On June 6th, the duo Alosa (Giulietta Vidal and Irene Romo) will perform in the Plaça de l’Església in Gualta, showcasing their work El primer cant del matí.
Following the Sant Joan concerts in L'Estartit, the festival will symbolically return to its roots on June 27th. Anna Andreu will perform in Plaça Catalunya in La Pera, the venue where the now-defunct JazzPera, considered the embryo of Festival Ítaca, was born. The closing event will be on July 5th at Port Bo beach in Calella de Palafrugell with Els Amics de les Arts, celebrating twenty years of their career.
In parallel, the festival will host the main Ítaca Sant Joan event at Platja Gran in L'Estartit from June 19th to 23rd, featuring artists such as Love of Lesbian and La Maravillosa Orquestra del Alcohol. A new free stage, Ítaca Plaça, will also be introduced in the Plaça de l’Església in L'Estartit.
